party clothes
Mom and Dad
the Cream of the Crop
do the Bump!
do the Slop!
Many distant relatives
old as time
indifferent love
Mom’s five siblings
including the groom
a fussy aunt
a fake debutante
a shade-tree mechanic
with a need for speed!
A Vietnam veteran,
Nervous
Intense
two Great grandmas
and a grandpa too…
indifferent love
so many are gone
from the picture
of the picture
on my phone
A gift of time
A cousin here

Mom and Dad,
Their empty chairs.
