We human creatures

Do we ever truly change?

Does a rock ever become a different kind of rock?

Or will it only grow smaller?

Losing tiny/big pieces of itself as time

Slowly grinds it down

Boulder by boulder

Pebble by pebble

Until all that remains is gravel

Small unidentifiable pieces of you

That others support themselves on
